Bill has coached volleyball for 25 years. He has served as an assistant coach at Southern Nazarene University and the University of Central Oklahoma for 12 years. Hamiter was the head coach at Southern Nazarene for 5 years earning 5 District championships, 2 Regional championships, 2 National tournament births and 5 District 9 Coach of the Year awards.
Bill has coached in the USA Volleyball National High Performance Camps for both girls and boys 5 times and as an assistant with the Boys Youth National team in 2000. Since 2001, Bill has been the head coach of the USA Volleyball Men's National Sitting Team. He currently is the head coach for both the Men's and Women's National Sitting teams.
Hamiter has been involved in "Junior" volleyball for 19 years forming clubs, coaching and providing leadership at the local, region and national level. He has coached 8 teams to Junior National appearances. Bill has earned a Level V ranking in the USA Volleyball Coaches Accreditation Program. Bill is married to Marcy and they have two children Olivia (16) and Avery (15.)
