JEN (SALMANS) GOMEZ (11 Metro)
     
Jen (Salmans) Gomez played collegiately at the University of Southern Colorado (now known as Colorado State Univ. - Pueblo). While earning her bachelor's degree in Exercise Science/Health Promotion and Wellness, she made the All Conference team in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference in 1999 and 2000. She was named outstanding senior female athlete and was Academic All Conference and All Region during those years.

In addition to her bachelor's degree, Jen holds a master's degree in Health and Human Performance from Fort Hays State University. 

After college, Salmans was hired as an assistant at Angelo State (TX) for two years. While there, ASU made the Lone Star Conference Tournament and posted its best record in 14 years. Jen specialized in hitting and coached several all conference players. 

Jen was hired at Oklahoma City University three years ago. During her three years she has led OCU to a record of 93-26 and reached the NAIA Region VI semi-finals in 2007.

In those seasons she has coached 2 two-time all-region players and 3 two-time all conference honorees. While at OCU, Salmans has coached a Region VI front-row specialist and Sooner Athletic Conference hitter of the year as well as an honorable mention All-American.

Jen married Chanc Gomez in August of 2009.
