KATIE HOLLOWAY (15 Regional)![]() Katie Holloway played high school volleyball at Lake Stevens High School in Washington. After graduation, she attended Cal State Northridge in Northridge, CA where she earned a Sociology degree and played 4 years of collegiate basketball. While playing basketball at Cal State Northridge, she was a two-time winner of the Big West Conference Sixth Woman of the Year. She averaged 8.3 points per game, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game while shooting 65 percent from the floor as the starting center for the Matadors. In 2006, she became a member of the U.S. Paralympic National Sitting Volleyball team. During her time on the team, she has helped the team earn a 5th place finish at the World Championships in the Netherlands, a 3rd place at the Intercontinental Cup in Egypt, and the Silver medal in the 2008 Paralympic Games in Beijing in the summer of 2008. She currently trains full time with the U.S. Sitting team at UCO in Edmond. |
